This charming sculpture features three elephants in a circle with a glass oil-burning tray resting on their heads. As the physical representation of the Hindu God Ganesh, the elephant has long been a popular figure among artisans. Ganesh is considered a symbol of wisdom and a bringer of good luck. A popular tradition among Indians is to place an elephant figuring near the main door to the house for good luck.
